Singpura is a village a short distance from Banswara, of local historical interest, and one of the least-visited places on this list.

What to expect

This is not a developed site. There is no entrance, no ticket, no signage and no facilities. What there is, is a quiet village setting and whatever local heritage has survived in it.

It is included here because it appears on Banswara itineraries and people do ask about it — but it is honest to say that it will appeal to a narrower group of visitors than Mahi Dam or Tripura Sundari. If you like arriving somewhere with no expectations and simply looking around, you will get something out of it.

Visiting notes

Remember that this is somewhere people live rather than a monument. Ask before photographing anyone, and be unobtrusive.

Getting there

Around twenty minutes by road from Udaipur Road. Easy enough to add to a morning that also takes in the Madareshwar temple.
